I have met 2016 with a creative rush. Working small, working loose, working with quicker/choppier brush strokes and working with more greens, blues, and whites and no reds (In most of the new paintings).

I have met 2016 with a creative rush. Working small, working loose, working with quicker/choppier brush strokes and working with more greens, blues, and whites and no reds (In most of the new paintings).

January 24, 2016:
I have done at least one painting a day and a total of 29 painting. I have also written for finished poems and have a half dozen in progress. Artistically this is the best month of my life. I have had other stretched that have been nearly as good. The difference is I feel like I am having more fun following my beat and nothing that I want to attempt or explore is out of my range. I feel I have added a looseness to my stroke, something I have always wanted.

Another cool thing is that you folks who enjoy my work and have followed me for 10-years or 10-days have embraced this ride.

January 31, 2016
As the night closes the door on January, I have finished 38 paintings in 31 days. Of those 38 - four have sold - and two were gifts. They are scattered between Bellingham WA, Everett, WA, Canada, Berlin Germany, and Portugal. Each day I was able to carve out he the time to do at least one painting. I am excited to see what February holds.

February 23, 2016:
February has seen been almost as intense as January. There have been three days when I did not post a new painting, but this did not mean I did not paint. I painted three large pieces for a show and they eat up large chunks of time.

A new series has also began to emerge. Animal Poets. I see this one going on for a bit. Plus I am trying to write a poem for each painting and unify them into a book down the line. This is my most free spirited series I have done.

It is also one that has received great response and made many people laugh.
One friend asked me if they were for kids. The paintings and poems are geared for adults, but like most of my work, it is suitable for kids who have not been shelter from the darkness.

I want to thank everyone for their support - from placing ‘like” and paintings to commenting, sharing, and in six cases so far this year, in buying my work.

For those thinking of buying, my work ranges from $85.00 to $4500.00 and I do take payments. If you want to own one of my works, there is no reason we cannot work something out.

My thanks to everyone for their continued support, with a special acknowledgement to ZO Magazine - Thank you.
